Parade Information and other Updates

Update:  Parade

Weather so far is looking good for Saturday (which is a huge blessing) but in the event things change please be sure to check your email for any updates and/or changes.

Dress for the Parade:

* Black Hoodies

* Girls:  Black Skirts and/or Skorts   / Boys:  Black Pants

* Black Tights (NO SOCKS)  ** All dancers must wear black tights, please no socks

* Shoes:  dance sneakers and/or regular sneakers

* Hair:  neatly pulled up and off the face (NO BUNS and/or WIGS)

* Ribbons and/or Bows:  black, white or green (no other colors)

In the event of colder weather, dancers may wear the "McAleer" head wraps recently sold during the Sportswear Fundraiser.

Parade Information:

The parade kicks off at 12:00 / Noon.

Dancers will meet somewhere in the vicinity of 4th & King (same as in year's past - location will depend on where we are in the parade line-up).

Dancers should arrive by 11:15 and hopefully no later than 11:30.

Dancers will march as a group and parents are permitted to follow and/or march on the side.

If you are meeting your dancer at the end of the parade route please make sure to find us so that we can get a group photo at the pavilion at Fletcher Brown Park.

Wilmington Library Show (immediately following the Parade):

For any dancers who are signed up for the show @ the Library you will head directly there after the parade.

Since this show is immediately following the parade there is not time and/or the proper location for dancers to change.

With this dancers will dance in  their parade wear less the hoodie so please have your dancer wear either a black McAleer t-shirt and/or a white blouse/top underneath.

Update:  Thursday Show @ Lodge Lane

For dancers going to the Thursday show @ Lodge Lane please make note that is a separate facility from the Kutz Home which is located near and/or next to Lodge Lane.

Please make sure that you are entering the correct location.  Lodge Lane is directly after the Kutz Home.

Update:  Hair Expectations for Remaining Shows

ALL dancers who are attending any upcoming shows are expected to come as if dressed for a feis which means all hair show be up and in a bun/tessa and/or wig

Show Update

Update from Tricia:

First, yes the show is still a go for tomorrow and thank you to everyone who has bravely volunteered, it is greatly appreciated!!

The show is at 2:30 and the dancers will only perform once, so they should be done about 3:00.

The show is part of  Oktoberfest 2013 being held at St John the Apostle Parish in Milford DE.

The address is: 506 Seabury Ave. - Milford, DE 19963

Please have the dancers there by 1:45 so that we can run through a few things and this will also allow time for them to get dressed.

Dancer(s) should wear school or solo dress and please have your hair up and/or in a bun and/or wig.

We realize the weather is going to be on the warm side so please make sure your dancer(s) has plenty of water.

I will be taking Veronica down and we should be there by 1:30, so any problems please call us @ 302.379.2767 (my cell number).

Thanks again and we will see everyone tomorrow!!

Feis Wrap-Up

Feis Wrap Up:

First, "Congratulations" to all the dancers today, everyone did a fabulous job!!

Second, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who generously gave their time and talent(s) to help make this yet another successful and well run feis.  From all the helpers who came out on Saturday for set up to the workers of today from start to finish, including clean up.

And a special thank you to Bob Thatcher, for overseeing the stage building committee, to Teresa Rusell for overseeing the Snack Bar and to Dave Burke, the DE Feis Secretary for overseeing all the registrations for the Feis.

The Feis is a massive undertaking and it would not run without the fantastic volunteers who help to make it such a great day for everyone.....so thank you!!!

Lastly, another BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated to this year's snack bar.  It was a great year and once again we could have been as successful as we were without your help.
