Show Update

Update from Tricia:

First, yes the show is still a go for tomorrow and thank you to everyone who has bravely volunteered, it is greatly appreciated!!

The show is at 2:30 and the dancers will only perform once, so they should be done about 3:00.

The show is part of  Oktoberfest 2013 being held at St John the Apostle Parish in Milford DE.

Please have the dancers there by 1:45 so that we can run through a few things and this will also allow time for them to get dressed.

Dancer(s) should wear school or solo dress and please have your hair up and/or in a bun and/or wig.

We realize the weather is going to be on the warm side so please make sure your dancer(s) has plenty of water.

I will be taking Veronica down and we should be there by 1:30, so any problems please call us @ 302.379.2767 (my cell number).

Dancers Needed!

Show Request:  Saturday, Oct the 5th - Milford DE

Where:  St Johns, Milford DE = 506 Seabury Ave

What:  Oktoberfest, full day of activities and entertainment

When:  Show Time is 1:30, Dancers would need to be there by 12:30

Transportation:  If your dancer is available but you are not please still let us know as we can hopefully get a few brave souls to volunteer and carpool.

Veronica had to cancel last year due to not enough dancers being available and she would really like to be able to do this as it is a fun day, so please consider  volunteering.

Feis Wrap-Up

Feis Wrap Up:

First, "Congratulations" to all the dancers today, everyone did a fabulous job!! 

Second, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who generously gave their time and talent(s) to help make this yet another successful and well run feis.  From all the helpers who came out on Saturday for set up to the workers of today from start to finish, including clean up.  

And a special thank you to Bob Thatcher, for overseeing the stage building committee, to Teresa Rusell for overseeing the Snack Bar and to Dave Burke, the DE Feis Secretary for overseeing all the registrations for the Feis.

The Feis is a massive undertaking and it would not run without the fantastic volunteers who help to make it such a great day for everyone.....so thank you!!!

Lastly, another BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated to this year's snack bar.  It was a great year and once again we could have been as successful as we were without your help.

Tuesday @ Yorklyn:

6 to 7:  Beginners

7 to 9:  Adv Beg and up

Wednesday @ Yorklyn:

6 to 7:30:  Adv Beg / Nov

7:30 to 9:  PW / Champs

Thursday @ Claymont:

4 to 5:30:  Adv Beg

5:30 to 7:  Adv Beg / Novice

Reminder / Fall Registation:

If you have not received you annual Fall Registration packet please see Veronica.

If you have received it, please fill it out and either (1) return in person at class or (2) mail directly to Veronica.

All registrations should be completed by September.

Irish Heritage Night With the Blue Rocks

Everyone had such a great night at the Phillies we would like to do it again but this time at the Blue Rocks! 

Dancers will have a chance to perform prior to the game.

All dancers and family members will be required to have a ticket for entry into the stadium.

 

Note:

If your dancer is interested in participating a special t-shirt will need to be purchased.

This will be a separate purchase from your ticket.

Information  regarding t-shirts will be made available once we determine the number interested.

 

Should be a fun night so hopefully we get a good response!!

Figures Update

Update:

Veronica would like to have all interested dancers attend a class this Friday, June the 7th @ Claymont from 6:30 to 8:00.

Note:

This would be the ONLY Friday night class.

The goal is to put teams together so that when regular Figure Classes start we will be ready to go.

We are hoping to put teams together based on location and have 2 classses offered during the week with one @ Claymont (most likely Monday nights before the Champs class from 5 to 6:30) and the other @ Yorklyn (most likely on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30).

Nothing has been finalized yet as we are also trying to work out the summer schedule which will mean moving and switching up some times so that we can also accomodate the figures classes due to the fact that we had so many not available for Friday practices.

So please plan on attending this Friday.

Delaware Feis and Figures Update

 DELAWARE FEIS 2013 is Open for Registration:

The DE Feis will be held on Sunday Aug the 11th @ St. Mark's High School

Note:  

Please do not enter if your dancer has expressed interest in doing figures until we get it all straightened out.  We are currently in the process of trying to work on the day(s) and location(s) that Figures Practice will occur.  We hope to have an email out within the next day or so with an update regarding where and when we will be starting.....thank you for you patience!

If you have any specific questions regarding what your dancer should be signing up for please see Veronica.

Questions regarding helping with donations and/or volunteering:

Once we get alittle closer we will utilize "SignUp Genius" to ask for volunteers (day before and day of) to help cover various aspects of the feis.  

We will also utilize "SignUp Genius" for snack bar donations and workers. 

Summer Schedule:

Saturday Classes:

The final class was held this past Saturday June the 1st.  An email will go out later in the summer letting everyone know when they will resume in the fall.  Dancers who normally attend Saturdays may switch to either the Claymont and/or Yorklyn locations during the summer months.

Claymont Classes:

There will be a switch for the Beginners (Mondays) and Adv Beginners (Thurs @ 4:00) to morning classes starting in about 2 weeks.  An email will go out with exact times very soon.
